If, as indigenous cultures
believe, all the individuals within a society -- humankind
as a whole -- are connected at a higher collective level,
they should be able to undertake a task, relying solely on
personal inspiration, that would blend individual
contributions into a cohesive whole.
On Summer Solstice, June 20,
1996, Magical Blend magazine gathered a group of its
contributing writers together to put this premise to the
test. Among others, they included Key Carey, Jean Houston,
Lynn Andrews, Neal Donald Walsch, Barbara Hand Clow, David
Spangler, Shakti Gawain, Marsha Sinetar, Douglas Rushkoff,
Sirona Knight, and Laverne E. Denyer.
The writes were asked to
"tune in" to the planetary or Gaia Consciousness and write
about the coming global shift in consciousness and its
consequences for humankind. This experiment in consciousness
has resulted in a work that not only reflects the new
"mythic" reality in its synergetic composition, it also
provides a road map to momentous changes.
