I LOVE MY HUSBAND’S SNORING! Or, as I prefer to think of it, his purring. I hear so many people complain about a partner’s snoring and wonder if they realize the gift of life being shared with them. When I hear his beautiful purring (no matter how loud) I know he is alive and near me. I trust he is in deep sleep, and comfortable. If he mumbles a little bit, it means his subconscious is active and alive. It is a beautiful sound. It makes me feel secure in his company and knowing that I have a partner with whom I can share my life. If the day ever came when he was not around to make that beautiful sound, I know I would be terribly lonely, and long for the wonderful purring breath of my best friend, life partner, lover. I am happy to be aware of the gift he gives me in his peaceful slumber lying near me for all these years. I hope more people can turn around their thinking and find gratitude in the sounds your partner makes while that person is still alive, rather than as a painful memory. Enjoy it now, for it is precious. Once you learn to appreciate it, it becomes a lullaby for sleep rather than a disturbance.
